Published on the occasion of Taking Back Our Space: Photographic Perspectives at MoMA in New York, the book revisits the work of Marianne Wex, who photographed differences in male and female body language in public spaces during the 1970s. Edited by Roxana Marcoci and Caitlin Ryan, it brings her research into dialogue with seven contemporary artists examining the relationships between bodies, gender and representation through feminist, queer and decolonial perspectives.
