The exhibition explores the decades-long artistic dialogue between Herbert W. Franke and Gottfried Jäger, beginning with Jäger’s discovery of Franke’s book Kunst und Konstruktion in 1958. Approximately 250 works connect Jäger’s generative and concrete photography, including pinhole structures and photographic-material experiments, with Franke’s mathematical visualizations, computer graphics, photographs, videos, and animations. Their practices reveal a shared interest in technical systems, scientific models, and the processes underlying image production.
