Stelios Kallinikou - Cliffs Among Dreams . After Nature Prize 26
Cypriot artist Stelios Kallinikou (b. 1985) has spent more than a decade exploring the Akrotiri peninsula in southern Cyprus, where ecological diversity and British military presence coexist. Through photographs, films and sculptural assemblages, he reveals tensions between the natural landscape, military infrastructure and territorial borders.
Flamingos, migratory birds, rock formations and wetlands appear alongside radar systems, fences and military installations. The exhibition explores territory, migration, belonging and extinction, connecting geology, history and contemporary geopolitical issues.
Presented at C/O Berlin as part of After Nature · Ulrike Crespo Photography Prize 26, the exhibition is shown alongside Susanne Kriemann’s work.
