Susanne Kriemann: In the Fever of the Sun, Butterflies Flutter in the Belly

C/O Berlin
Hardenbergstraße 22–24
10623 Berlin
Germany

Berlin-based artist Susanne Kriemann (b. 1972) explores the traces of the industrial and nuclear ages in our landscapes. The exhibition focuses on former uranium mining sites in Germany and France, where radioactivity remains present in soil, plants, and architecture.

Through photography, autoradiography, uranium-bearing minerals, plant specimens, and materials from her own studio, Kriemann makes invisible phenomena and their lasting environmental effects tangible. Presented at C/O Berlin as part of the After Nature · Ulrike Crespo Photography Prize 26, the exhibition is shown alongside Stelios Kallinikou · Cliffs Among Dreams.
