Julie Mignon : La Ferme des Halleux

As part of the Galerie du Soir, created by Le Soir and the Musée de la Photographie, Julie Mignon presents a body of work devoted to farm life, giving equal attention to the people who sustain it and the animals that are central to it. After studying photography and exploring different professional paths, she returned to Saint-Luc Liège and gradually developed a documentary approach focused on encounters and relationships. Her discovery of farming began with a meeting with a farmer, prompting her to observe a world she had previously known little about. Drawing on the language of portraiture, she photographs both workers and livestock with intimacy and sensitivity. Faced with the repetitive nature of farm life, she learned to look more closely, capturing the small gestures and details that reveal its everyday reality.
