Eyes to Fly With is the first major retrospective of renowned Mexican photographer Graciela Iturbide in Belgium. Bringing together around 160 works spanning more than five decades, the exhibition explores identity, social relationships, spirituality, gender, and ephemerality. Iturbide’s photographs highlight women’s roles within the Zapotec community in Oaxaca, while her series White Fence examines identity, ancestry, migration, and social change. The exhibition also features images of rituals, intimate photographs of Frida Kahlo’s bathroom, and rarely exhibited work from India and Bangladesh.
