White Water

White Water is a visual and narrative exploration of the Northern Sea Route, the maritime corridor connecting Europe to Asia along the coasts of the Russian Arctic.

For several months, Charles Xelot sailed in the Arctic ice, photographing tankers and icebreakers crossing the polar night, as well as the silent intimacy of the overheated cabins and the monotony of the crossings.
