The Galerie Jean-François Cazeau, based in Paris’s Marais district since 2009, builds bridges between the Modern Masters and post-war art on both sides of the Atlantic, whilst embracing contemporary art. In the run-up to the Bicentenary of Photography (2026–2027), the gallery — which has been awarded the Ministry of Culture’s official designation for this anniversary event — will present a retrospective exhibition focusing on the humanist and surrealist photographer Pierre Jahan (1909–2003). A selection of around forty photographs, illustrating the various techniques used by the artist as well as his diverse experiments, will offer visitors the chance to rediscover the many facets of his work.
