Handiwork

Presented within 200LUX, an exhibition bringing together festivals from Réseau LUX, Photo Days invites Véronique Ellena to present Mains d’œuvre. The photographic series explores apprentices at the AFPA vocational training center in Bourg-en-Bresse, focusing on workers who are rarely seen and on the transmission of manual skills between trainees and instructors. Ellena finds unexpected beauty and poetry in workshops, tools, machines, colors, light, and the shared commitment to doing work well.
