Simone Fattal. Cities at the Bottom of a Lake

MAM - Musée d'Art Moderne de Paris
11 avenue du Président Wilson
75116 Paris
France

The Musée d’Art Moderne de Paris devotes a major monograph to Simone Fattal, a Lebanese-American artist born in 1942 in Damascus and who has resided in Paris for many years. An indefatigable explorer of materials and techniques, Simone Fattal produces a protean body of work, nourished by a wide range of literary, mythological, and historical sources. This first exhibition at a Paris museum pays tribute to a unique artist, a true free spirit, and attests to the richness and breadth of a creation that is always in motion.
