lunatic: The Strange and the Deformed is a group exhibition that explores unconventional forms of beauty through the strange, fantastical, distorted, and unsettling. Bringing together artworks, figures, antiques, posters, and ukiyo-e prints, the exhibition examines the allure of things that exist between the boundaries of the normal and the abnormal. Rather than focusing on conventional beauty, it highlights objects imbued with a subtle darkness and mysterious charm. Participating artists include Katan Amano, Satoru Inoue, Lina Uchida, Tomohiro Takagi, Akiko Nakaya, Shunsuke Nomura, Makiko Horiuchi, Nagako Morimachi, Kikuji Yamashita, Takato Yamamoto, Taiichiro Yoshida, and Joel-Peter Witkin.
