Engaging with myth, performance, and memory through Jewish ritual and folklore, Hannah Altman’s photographs transform everyday objects and scenery into charged atmospheres. The exhibition brings together a selection of her photographs, including newly commissioned works, with Christian treasures from St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague and Jewish ceremonial art from the Jewish Museum’s collection. Together, they explore inheritance, ritual, reinvention, and the presence of the sacred within everyday experience.
