Rebekka Deubner: the earth in love (said of the earth that sticks to boots)

In March 2023, Rebekka Deubner traveled to Sainte-Soline, in the Deux-Sèvres region of France, to participate in the protests against the proposed mega-reservoirs. The repression was immediate and violent, and the event was quickly reduced to sensational images and simplistic narratives. Yet, what was erased then struck her as essential. It is to this space, beyond the frame, that she chose to return, almost every month, from April 2023 to December 2025.
