Exhibition “Paths of Drawing: From Architectural Sketch to Design Project”

From June 26 to October 3, 2026, the Académie des beaux-arts presents at the Galerie de l’Académie des beaux-arts the exhibition Paths of Drawing – From Architectural Sketch to Design Project, featuring the presentation of the Louis Le Masson Architectural Drawing Prize, awarded for the first time in 2025.
For this inaugural edition, the Architecture Section of the Académie des beaux-arts has chosen to showcase, alongside drawings by the two laureates Frédéric Borel and Pierre Dufour, a selection of works by 23 contemporary architects invited to present drawings of their choice. Through more than 90 drawings, this overview of architectural drawing highlights the creative vitality of this medium at the heart of contemporary architectural practices.

The exhibition also features previously unseen drawings by architect and theorist Claude Parent (1923–2016), former member of the Académie, as well as works by architect and engineer Louis Le Masson (1743–1829).
