Ed Alcock Secrets et mensonges

The Jeu de Paume presents an exhibition dedicated to Ed Alcock, winner of the 2025 Prix Niépce – Gens d’Images, at the Château de Tours from June 19 to November 8, 2026. Secrets and Lies brings together fifteen years of photographic work exploring family, transmission and belonging. For the first time, five series created between 2009 and 2025 are presented together, from Hobbledehoy to Buried Treasure. Arranged chronologically, the exhibition traces the evolution of Alcock’s practice, at the intersection of autobiography, documentary and fiction. Through intimate photographs, found images, drawings and film, Alcock explores family relationships, memory and his connection to his country of origin.
