Les grands âges explores the later stages of human life through the intersection of art and science. The exhibition is the result of a collaboration between photographer Nikos Aliagas, who has documented the passage of time through portraiture for decades, and biodemographer Samuel Pavard, a specialist in ageing. Combining photography, anthropology, biology, and demography, the exhibition examines longevity, the role of older people throughout human history, contemporary perceptions of ageing, and the challenges facing ageing populations in the future. Through intimate portraits and scientific perspectives, the exhibition reflects on time, memory, intergenerational relationships, and the place of older adults in society.
