Three non-academic lectures by Rabih Mroué exploring memory, archives, and images: reconstructing war-torn Lebanon through found documents and photos; martyrs queuing to be photographed beside a headless soldier cutout; and a Salzburg exhibition poster mistaken for a real bombing warning, blurring art and reality.

About the artist
Born in Beirut, Rabih Mroué is a theatre-maker, playwright and visual artist whose work blurs the boundaries between fiction and reality. Presented at international festivals and museums, his practice resists the labels often attached to his biography. He questions these assumptions, while acknowledging that he has never succeeded in becoming a citizen, in his own country or elsewhere, and once aspired to be a professional musician. He has lived in Berlin since 2013.
