Atelier EXB, Aperture and Kaph Books
In Before Freedom (Atelier EXB / Kaph Books 2026 / Aperture, 2027) Palestinian photographer Adam Rouhana documents everyday life in Palestine since 2022, from Jerusalem and Haifa to Jericho and Hebron. Between family gatherings, moments of leisure and the presence of soldiers and checkpoints, his photographs examine how daily life continues under occupation. Moving beyond conventional photojournalism, the book addresses territory, cultural identity and representation. It includes essays by Ahdaf Soueif, Mosab Abu Toha and Taous Dahmani.
