Flowering presents new and recent photographs by Sharon Core examining the expressive qualities of plants and perennials as both botanical types and individual forms. Originating as a personal archive, the digitally produced images document rare cultivated varieties across their life cycles, from first bloom to near-withering. Photographed against stark white backgrounds with precise detail and saturated color, the flowers become scientific studies, historical reflections, and memorials.
