Presented at MAQAM through a collaboration between Foam and Middle East Archive, Al Nisa / النساء is a group photography exhibition based on Middle East Archive’s latest book, published by curator and founder Romaisa Baddar. Bringing together photographs of women from across the Middle East and North Africa, the exhibition gives the portrayed women space to tell their own stories rather than speaking on their behalf. Large-scale images cover MAQAM’s exterior windows, while additional works are displayed inside.
