Barragán: His Library offers an intimate exploration of the creative universe of Luis Barragán through his personal library, preserved within his home-studio in Mexico City, now the Casa Luis Barragán Museum. The book examines the authors, books, and ideas that shaped the vision of Mexico's most influential architect and recipient of the 1980 Pritzker Prize. Presenting the library as a living archive, the publication reveals Barragán’s engagement with art, spirituality, landscape, and modernity, while highlighting the values of silence, solitude, and serenity that informed both his architecture and his way of life. The volume is enriched by a visual essay from David Jiménez, whose photographs capture the subtle interplay of light, shadow, and stillness within Barragán’s spaces.
