Sonia Boyce: One Hundred Ways to Love

Dallas Art Museum
1717 North Harwood Street
TX 75201 Dallas
United States

Sonia Boyce transforms the Dallas Museum of Art’s Concourse with a monumental installation exploring her longstanding engagement with music. The seventh Concourse mural commission, the work features a vibrant pattern inspired by a wallpaper design drawing by American artist Peter Todd Mitchell, selected by Boyce from the DMA’s permanent collection. Within a repeating gilded frame motif, Boyce incorporates the names of 100 songs spanning different eras and genres, each featuring the word “love,” one of the most common words in popular music.
Sonia Boyce: One Hundred Ways to Love is organized by the Dallas Museum of Art.
