Modernity and Opulence: Women of the Wiener Werkstätte

Modernity and Opulence: Women of the Wiener Werkstätte sheds light on the important role of Jewish women as artists, designers, patrons, and tastemakers in shaping modernist aesthetics in early 20th-century Vienna. Bringing together more than 200 works by around 30 Jewish women artists, the exhibition explores their creativity and technical expertise across ceramics, textiles, and other mediums, highlighting figures such as Vally Wieselthier and Felice Rix-Ueno, while also rediscovering lesser-known artists and their lasting influence on art and design.
