A Place, One of All Things

No.47-1, Ln. 53, Dongnan St., East Dist.
300 Hsinchu City
Taiwan

This exhibition features works from three important series by the artist, Who Loves the Sun (2022–), Nevertheless (2009–2010), and Form Lost, Emptiness Full (2010–2015), presenting Letinski’s long-standing exploration of the political and poetic aspects of photographic imagery. Known for her unique still-life compositions, she challenges established conventions of representation, questioning the authority of photography while embracing its captivating visual language.
Letinski’s work views photography as both a system of desire and part of a consumer mechanism. She once compared her relationship with photography to “Don Quixote against windmills,” reflecting her resistance to the medium’s influence on how we see, desire, and accumulate images and objects. Yet within this tension, she continues to use photography as a vehicle for exploring visual pleasure and sensory experience.
