Rivoluzione approaches the Italian coastline as a landscape shaped by ongoing transformation. Focusing on the cliffs of Ortona, Massimo Sordi examines the coexistence of erosion and persistence, disintegration and resistance. The project considers landscape not as a fixed form but as a material condition constantly redefined by time. Through photographs attentive to the site’s geomorphological character, rock surfaces become archives of accumulated traces left by the sea and atmospheric forces. Drawing on references to Galileo Galilei and Donato Rossetti, the publication expands the notion of “revolution” beyond geology to encompass physical and cosmological dimensions.
