Ancient Andean Textiles

Between about 3000 BCE and the early 1500s CE, ancient Andean weavers developed one of the world’s most remarkable textile traditions, both artistically and technically. Among these cultures, the Paracas people of Peru’s southern coast created some of the most complex and well-preserved early textiles to survive.
