Alarcon Criado presents “La escritura de las piedras" a new exhibition by Jorge Yeregui. The artist explores the environmental impact of the energy transition from fossil fuels to renewable energies. Located in the Gran Corta de Fabero, a former coal mine now being restored, he uses photography to explore the effects of extractive processes, the passage of time, and geoengineering solutions to climate change. His work bridges local and global perspectives, highlighting the significant changes in the landscape and the efforts to restore it. The exhibition links with previous works on the impact of coal mining 'Las montañas perfectas' (FCAYC, 2012) - extending the reflection to new issues such as the recovery processes of the natural landscape.
