Hannah Traore Gallery is pleased to present Our Neighborhood: Another Look Around with The Anna Silver School and The Island School. This is the gallery's second exhibition featuring student artwork from public schools in the Lower East Side community. For this project, students from Kindergarten to 5th grade were invited to make art inspired by their surrounding neighborhood. Through this prompt, children were encouraged to appreciate their community as an inclusive, generative space where they can express themselves freely and inventively. Student artwork ranges from crayon drawings to photographs, sculpture, and collage; depicting personal observations, affirmations, and reflections on life, friends, and family.
