The Musée Guimet presents the photographic project Hakanai Sonzai, which in Japanese means "I feel myself to be like an ephemeral creature". Through a collection of colour portraits, landscapes and black-and-white still lifes, Pierre-Elie de Pibrac recounts the feeling of impermanence which pervades Japanese culture, and a society that has established strict collective rules to cope with the hostility and ubiquitous laws of nature.
