"The image is often born from survival, from the intensity of an apparition," writes Didi-Huberman. Vincent Rosenblatt's photographs are part of this tradition: they do not simply document, they capture the moment when reality is overturned.

With Alucinação , the artist is part of a history of contemporary photography that spans documentary and fantasy, from Brassaï to Nan Goldin, from Pierre Verger to the hallucinatory archives of Daido Moriyama. His series presented at salon/H dedicated to the Bate-Bola H — the carnival of the northern and western districts of Rio — transcends simple reporting: it reveals an aesthetic of trance, an alteration of perception where the street becomes a sacred stage.
