To tribute. From one woman to another
Artist, Agnès de Cayeux is interested in the forgotten history of women and machines: "Code fascinates me. Computer languages inspire me. Women and machines throughout history captivate me, such as Ada Lovelace and her famous Note G, Grace Hopper and her first computer language Cobol."
Throughout her investigation, which combines intimacy and media archaeology, Agnès de Cayeux keeps a journal of her impressions and feelings. She takes notes and photographs, she films, she programs. In particular, she writes a series of letters addressed to Vera, which form the common thread of the exhibition. The exhibition functions as an open journal, where each work and each object reveals a facet of her remote encounter with Vera Molnár and her poetic writings.
