FotoColectania presents 'Ramón Masats. The Silent Photographer.' Recognized for his instinct in image composition, his radical and ironic approach to post-war Spain and his absolute commitment to creative freedom, Masats played a key role in the renewal of documentary photography.
The exhibition explores his early years of creation, from 1953 to 1965, a period in which he experimented with abstract photography and reportage. It brings together a rare series of his vintage prints from Las Ramblas, as well as photographs from his landmark books, 'Neutral Corner' and 'Los Sanfermines', which remain milestones in the history of Spanish photography.
