From September 18 to December 13, 2025, the Carré de Baudouin presents in dubio pro reo, an exhibition by Franco-Iranian artist Pooya Abbasian. Through installations, films, and prints, he explores the materialities of photography and the transformations of the contemporary image. Vacillating, fragmented, and recomposed, his works probe the zones of uncertainty within the visible. Drawing on his experience in film post-production, Abbasian hybridizes techniques and display devices to reveal the ambiguity and fragility of images, their meaning, and their reception. The exhibition intertwines recent creations, site archives, and dialogues with works by Chris Marker, Wolfgang Tillmans, Luc Tuymans, and Katinka Bock. A programme of screenings, discussions and performances extends this poetic and critical journey.
