M77 is pleased to announce Gianni Bertini: Manifesto Meccanico, a title that refers to the Manifesto of Mec-Art ("mechanical art"), which defined a new language in the art world, masterfully represented by Gianni Bertini's work between 1965 and 1970. Tthe exhibition Gianni Bertini: Manifesto Meccanico features over 50 works that showcase a stylistic approach based on printing and mechanical reproduction techniques. It marks the beginning of M77's representation of the artist. Bertini appropriates photography, replacing his brushes and palette, and controls each phase of the mechanical image processing to influence its very structure.
