PASSAGEWAYS OF THE GREAT PIERRE BOULEZ HALL
"Captives of Time" is an immersive installation by Czech artist Alžběta Wolfová that explores the memory of life through the fossilized imprints of insects trapped in amber. Backlit prints, sculpted transparencies, and a sound environment create a sensory landscape where each piece becomes a time capsule, between silence and vibration. Inspired by natural history museums and stained-glass windows, the work invites an active contemplation of detail, where the image becomes trace, light, and breath. This project, supported by the Signature Foundation, celebrates the fragile survival of life forms, between art, science, and poetry.
