Vues & données II is presented in its second iteration at Confort Moderne in Poitiers, following an earlier exhibition at PhotoElysée in Lausanne. It is the result of a research and artistic project on the notion of data led by Aurélie Pétrel and philosopher Fabien Vallos, in collaboration with the artist Dieudonné Cartier and Master's students from ENSP Arles and HEAD Geneva. The exhibition brings together all that has been produced, collected and written on the plasticity of data. Data is acosmic in the sense that it cannot be used to produce systems of representation, and that it is preferable– following Catherine Malabou's theories – to accord it the notion of plasticity. This means granting it the possibility of a form rather than a value.
