The Institut Giacometti presents a new exhibition devoted to the Pakistani-American artist Huma Bhabha (Karachi, 1962) in dialogue with the work of Alberto Giacometti.
Designed specifically for the Institut Giacometti, the exhibition highlights their shared exploration of representing the human figure somewhere between strength and fragility. Two standing figures created by Huma Bhabha especially for the exhibition, along with heads, sculptures resembling bodily fragments, drawings, and photographs, are brought into confrontation with Giacometti’s iconic works such as Walking Man (1960), Leg (1958), Women of Venice (1956), and Large Head (1960).
