LUMA ARLES presents a retrospective of David Armstrong, known for his portraits of friends and quiet urban landscapes. Linked to the so-called Boston School, David Armstrong photographed his close circle in New York and Boston from the 1970s onwards.
His images show youth, desire and the fragility of a generation marked by freedom and loss during the AIDS crisis.
