A multidisciplinary artist among the most influential of his generation, Ibrahim Mahama (born in 1987 in Ghana) has established himself on the international stage with installations created from collected materials, archives, and fragments of industrial heritage that he reactivates to shape new imaginaries.
The Time of Harvests evokes the patient cycle of creation: sowing ideas, transmitting knowledge, and reaping the fruits of collective work. Ibrahim Mahama will transform the entire new space at Place du Palais-Royal by presenting works specifically conceived for the location, as well as previously unseen versions of a selection of his most emblematic installations.
Continuing his collaborative practice, Ibrahim Mahama has invited nine artists and collectives to participate in the exhibition: Dorothy Akpene Amenuke, Gideon Appah, James Barnor, CATPC, Courage Dzidula Kpodo with Postbox Ghana, Zohra Opoku, Tjaša Rener, and Feda Wardak.
