Counterfeit banknotes, documents, artworks, and manufactured goods demonstrate ever more sophisticated skills and boldness. Today’s fake news rivals the creativity of fabricated stories from the past. Sometimes, their “true” tales are even more captivating than fiction!
Fakes and Forgers, from the Middle Ages to the Present Day — on display until February 2, 2026.
As part of the “Les Remarquables” series, another exhibition, Victor Hugo's Testament, will run until January 12, 2026.
The National Archives hold significant photographic collections dating from the late 19th century to the present. During Paris Photo, an event titled “Magazines, Press, and Photographs on Display” will take place on Friday, November 14, at 7:30 p.m, in partnership with the Victoria and Albert Museum.
