The Anita Beckers Gallery presents the first solo show by American artist John Sanborn in a German gallery.

The exhibition comprises three bodies of work that illustrate Sanborn’s interest in new technology addressing socio- political issues: Identity, Community and Gender as well as our everyday struggle to structure the shattered surrounding into narratives that underlie our existence.

John Sanborn is one of the protagonists of American video art. His work was recently shown in a major retrospective at the ZKM in Karlsruhe (Between Order and Entropy, 2022), organized by the late Peter Weibel.
