The exhibition "Vera Molnar: JOB FROM MOLNAR" at Vintage Galéria from February 13 to March 22, 2024, commemorates the work of Vera Molnar (1924-2023), a pioneer in computer art. Graduating from the Hungarian Academy of Fine Arts in 1947 and later settling in Paris, Molnar was deeply influenced by constructivism and collaborated with leading artists and composers. Embracing computer science as a generative tool, she programmed computers to create geometric shapes and forms, exploring the interplay between order and disorder in her art. The exhibition showcases Molnar's progression from hand-drawn algorithms to computer-generated paintings and plotter drawings, highlighting her enduring influence on digital art. Notably, her collaboration with generative artist Martin Grasser resulted in the creation of 500 generative art NFTs. Molnar's oeuvre continues to be celebrated worldwide, with solo exhibitions in Hungary and abroad, as well as inclusion in prominent group shows such as MoMA's "Thinking Machines: Art and Design in the Computer Age, 1959–1989."
