Born in 1985, the self-taught French photographer Vasantha Yogananthan is from a generation that enjoys blurring the lines between fiction and reality. His first solo museum exhibition of the series A Myth of Two Souls was inspired by the Ramayana, a key work in Hindu mythology. Endlessly reworked, this epic poem can be seen by Western readers as an invitation to understand India beyond mere exoticism.
