This autumn, the Musée Cernuschi presents a series of photographs by Japanese artist Kosuke Okahara, from the Vanishing Existence series. These eight works will join the museum's collections in 2024, thanks to a generous donation by the artist, and will contribute to enriching the emerging contemporary photography collection. Born in 1980, Kosuke Okahara began his career as a photojournalist in 2004, producing a series of photographs dealing with topical issues around the world. Produced in 2007, the Vanishing Existence series explores the daily life of leper villages, mainly located in southern China.
