From June 5 to September 8, 2024, Quai de la Photo puts the Seine in the spotlight by telling its story, that of a river so deeply linked to the identity of Paris.
As the capital prepares to host the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games, Quai de la Photo wanted to take a look back at how the riverbanks have evolved over the centuries through its exhibition La Seine, La Seine. Immersed in the heart of the floating art center moored in the 13th arrondissement, this two-part exhibition offers a social and historical tour of the quays.  Rive droite, Rive gauche invites you on a journey through time. The exhibition features more than 80 photographs dating from the 2nd half of the 19th century to the 1960s, enabling you to rediscover the vast changes taking place on the banks of the Seine. These archives are presented in partnership with the gallery and the historic Roger-Viollet agency.
