This project raises a simple question: how does photography testify to the situation of the refugees staying in the camps near Calais?
Through three approaches: that of artist Bruno Serralongue and his Calais series (2006-2018), the photographs taken by the Agence France Presse published in the media, and the testimonies of the inhabitants themselves, this exhibition aims to illustrate and explore the different functions, roles and statuses of the image.
