One year after the tragic passing of Yan Morvan, Galerie Sit Down is partnering with the Yan Morvan Archives to host a tribute exhibition celebrating the power of his gaze and the richness of his archives.
Centered around the publications of the Yan Morvan Archives—a unique editorial project that already includes more than twenty volumes—the exhibition offers a preview selection of images from Freedom, Northern Ireland (1981): a special issue dedicated to the funeral of Bobby Sands, featuring rare color photographs taken before and after the events. This body of work provides context to one of the most significant human and political episodes of the past fifty years.
