Editor-in-chief of the TV program Rendez-vous en terre inconnue for the past 20 years, Franck Desplanques, photographer and surveyor committed to indigenous populations, presents the exhibition Hommage at Quai de la Photo. A passionate photographer, Franck Desplanques has been travelling the world for over thirty years, meeting rare communities that have maintained a strong cultural identity and a close relationship with nature. Their freedom, knowledge and courage are inexhaustible sources of inspiration for us all.

In this visual odyssey, Franck Desplanques seeks to go beyond the criteria of classic documentary photography to offer another vision of these communities. Franck Desplanques offers us a true immersion in their daily lives and way of thinking. His work, which is both documentary and artistic, invites us to broaden our perspective and think about the world in a more humane way. By listening to the families he meets, he draws inspiration from the abundance of their daily lives, the diversity of their perspectives and the powerful emotion of these encounters.
