Stieglitz 19 proudly presents "People in mirror are closer than they appear," the third solo show by Pixy Liao at the gallery. This exhibition brings together a selection of photographs from Liao's ongoing series, "Experimental Relationship," a project that continually investigates intimacy, gender roles, and the nuances of personal connection.
On view are 12 new images created since the Pandemic, reflecting how recent global changes have influenced ideas of closeness, partnership, and personal space. The exhibition's title draws attention to the ways relationships can feel simultaneously near and distant, while Liao's work invites us to reflect on changing perceptions within relationships.
