Based on different locations in North Rhine-Westphalia, the exhibition uses 14 examples to examine key aspects of the present. There is a strong focus on urban space, industrial structures, and the diverse facets of society and social interaction. It also reflects on how we deal with the legacies of the past today, with an eye to future contexts. The exhibition includes artists from several generations who are based in North Rhine-Westphalia, some of whom have biographies that refer to their international countries of origin. Their photographic series, created between the 1990s and 2024, are presented in both color and black-and-white, and also include film works.
